Libraries are one of the best resources in a community, but for children – they are especially important. Libraries provide incentives and excitement for children to stay intellectually stimulated during their time off of school. They’re a great resource for lessening that summer-learning gap that inevitably occurs. And best of all, library programming is often FREE or very low-cost for everyone in a community. Nobody is left out of this club! 🙂 The Lansdale Public Library, North Wales Library, Indian Valley Library, Montgomery County Library System, and Bucks County Library System are no exception.
This summer, our local libraries are offering a TON of programming. There are reading incentive programs, theatrical events, building and STEM clubs, movies, magicians, author visits, star-gazing nights, and more! Of course there are tons of storytimes too – some even happening in parks! Many events are geared towards certain age-groups while others are for the whole family.
Wondering about the specifics? Here’s a round-up of what our main local libraries are offering for the summer of 2019.
